A free tool where you paste a video link — YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Twitch, SoundCloud, a direct MP4/WebM/OGG file, and more — get a shareable room link, and everyone on that link watches the same video in sync. Play, pause, and seek apply for the whole room.
Do I need an account?
No. Create a room, copy the link, and share it. No sign-up.
Who can control playback?
Anyone with the room link. If either person presses play, pause, or scrubs the timeline, everyone follows. Anyone can also play a new link now or add videos to the shared queue.
How does the queue work?
Play now switches everyone to that video immediately. Add to queue puts it after the current video (and anything already queued). When a video ends, or someone presses Next, the next item in the queue starts for the whole room. Anyone can remove a queued item or press Play on a queue row to jump to it.
How long do rooms last?
Named rooms last 30 days after the last activity (play, pause, seek, queue change, or rename). Unnamed rooms last 1 day idle. You can set a name when creating the room or later with “Save name”. Clearing the name switches the room back to the 1-day keep.
What is “Your name” / browser name?
A label saved only in your browser (e.g. Douglas). When you pause, play, seek, queue a link, or skip, everyone in the room sees messages like “Paused by Douglas” or “Linked by Douglas”. Queued videos also show who linked them. It is not a login — clear the field and actions show as “Someone”.
How sync works
How do people stay at the same time?
The room stores a shared clock: playing or paused, current position, and when that was last set. Each browser polls that state about once a second and corrects if it drifts. Perfect frame-lock is not guaranteed (networks and player buffering differ), but people stay close enough to watch together. Some embed-only sources (e.g. Dailymotion, Facebook, Twitch clips) can’t be play/pause synced — they just show for everyone in place.
Why do I see “Tap to join playback”?
Many browsers block autoplay with sound until you interact once. Tap the overlay (or Play) so your browser allows the video to start. After that, remote play/pause should follow normally.
What does Resync me do?
It forces your player to the room’s shared time and play/pause state if you fell behind or jumped ahead.
Privacy & limits
What is stored on the server?
Only the provider and video id (or link), play/pause flag, position, timestamps, and anonymous short-lived viewer ids for a live count. Video streams come from the source host (YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, etc.), not our servers. Room files expire after a couple of days idle.
Which sites can I use?
Fully synced: YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch (VODs & live channels), SoundCloud, and direct .mp4/.webm/.ogg file links. Embed only (shows for everyone but can’t sync play/pause): Dailymotion, Facebook videos, Twitch clips, and most other https:// video URLs. Login-walled apps (Netflix, Disney+…) and app-only sources (TikTok, Instagram) can’t be embedded. Private, age-restricted, or embed-disabled videos may not play.
Is this a chat or video call?
No — it only syncs shared video playback. Use your own chat app alongside if you want to talk.
