It counts your text as you type — words, characters (with and without spaces), sentences and paragraphs — and estimates reading and speaking time plus the most common words. Everything updates instantly; there is no "count" button to press.
How is a "word" counted?
A word is any run of non-space characters, so don't and state-of-the-art each count as one word, matching how most word counters (and word processors) behave.
How are sentences and paragraphs counted?
Sentences are runs of text ending in ., ! or ?. Paragraphs are blocks of text separated by a blank line. Because punctuation is ambiguous (abbreviations, ellipses, decimals), sentence counts are a close estimate rather than a perfect parse.

How are reading and speaking time estimated?
Reading time assumes about 225 words per minute (a typical adult silent-reading pace) and speaking time about 130 words per minute (a comfortable presentation pace). They are estimates to help with speeches, videos and articles.
What is keyword density?
It shows which words — or 2- and 3-word phrases — appear most often, and what share of the text they make up. It's handy for writers and for SEO, to check you're not over- or under-using a term. For single words, very common words like "the" and "and" are ignored so the list stays useful.
Privacy
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. All counting happens in your browser as you type. Nothing is uploaded, logged or saved, and refreshing the page clears everything.
Does it work offline?
Yes — once the page has loaded it runs entirely on your device.
